Itchy nipple

Hello, My Frenchie developed some sort of skin allergy in the nipple area, he often scratches it and now he has little blood specks. We have an humidifier to ensure proper air humidity, I give him fish oil every day to build his immune system. I applied coconut oil before but it doesn’t seem to help. I also tried dieting for 8 weeks with mono protein but it didn’t seem to work. Any help would be super appreciated! Thanks in advance, Patricia

Hello Donna, Did you already went to a Vet? During Mono protein diet, did you feed any other treats additionally? I recommend you to put some protective clothing on your dog, like a babysuit or a TShirt. It could also be caused by mites.

Unfortunately other treats were given during this time. Yes, I put some protective clothing but he doesn’t really like it. I take them off so he can sleep better but I will try to be more consistent on keeping him with the clothes on.

Do you think his nipples could go back to the normal size?

Try the Mono Protein diet again! WITHOUT any other Food or treats or anything! Keep consistent for at least 6 weeks! It could help!
